Hi everyone! My daughter is now developing an interest in LEGO and we want to foster that interest by getting her a base collection of LEGO beyond just super specific lego set pieces. For this purpose, pick a brick seems perfect. However, there are thousands of bricks on there. Which brick types do you consider to be the most versatile to bring out children's creativity beyond the basic 2x4, 1x4, 2x3, 1x1 rectangular bricks? Thanks for any input!

If that's the case, then I would suggest looking at City, Friends or Creator sets, or doing what @GandalftheBlack@feddit.org suggests.
