Yeah. I don't know about this. She's talking about extremes. Affirmations are a good thing. Who the fuck is gonna give you the pep talk if you don't give it to yourself first?

Sure there's over tracking but how do you know how far you've come if there's not some sort of record. Competition with someone else can be useless. Competition within yourself is powerful.

Maybe I missed something in this video. Idk

I just remember this with highs comes lows.

My takeaway on the vid is that real self care is being present in the moment - whatever that moment consists of. I fully agree with her that self care is NOT a competition. And you can't fix things by going shopping. Or performing rituals.

Shopping can give you that little bit of reprieve that you may need instead of the relentless churning of thoughts.

Targeted marketing relies on the vulnerable that they're missing out on something.
