I think the official story is not that he committed suicide but that he accidentally poisoned himself in the course of research, and the suicide story has just sort of been perpetuated in pop culture as a "tragic gays" narrative to make his death romantic (in the broader sense of the word).
I've never seen reason to believe he was murdered, though I'm not saying you're wrong.
No? His death was officially ruled a suicide and so no actual investigation was ever conducted.
I don't know what sort of "research" involves a cyanide injected apple unless it has something to do with talking mirrors.
The apple wasn't injected with cyanide. Turing had electroplating chemicals in his spare room that weren't stored properly, and he either inhaled it or it got on his nightly apple. That's according to the accidental poisoning position that the forensic investigator also said was a possibility. But I wouldn't doubt he was murdered and had an elaborate cover up.
