The Western democratic monarchies are definitely functioning a lot more stable than whatever absolutist "god-given" presidency they are having over in the US.

No. The UK is a democratic monarchy, and they are in fact not very stable right now.
Oh, I thought you were blaming the existence of the National Front on King Chuck, as we were talking about monarchies originally.
