about the hang, i have the same issue turns out its indeed related to fennec and ublock.
basically they are aware and we are waiting on the fennec team for the fix to roll out.
I managed to work around it by unchecking "wait with pageload until all the blocklist are loaded" in ublock origin. Seems to work like normal now, though I'm unsure if that is actually a fix. I guess it might have some negative side effects like some ads coming through.
i'm using the screen off trick they mention in the thread. the fix is already done, i'm just waiting for the fixed point release to be pushed.
