As an outsider, it's utterly astonishing how fucked up your country has become in only 9 short months.
it was fucked up long before that. Everyobody is scared and shooting each other, everybody is broke buying pointless shit.
It's always been like this, but it had a mask before trump that made everything happen slow enough to make people doubt that it was happening, so that it all can eventually seem acceptable; trump doesn't care about the mask and has accelerated it to a noticeable speed before everyone is ready to accept it.
Well it was pretty fucked up before, too
If you're astonished, then you haven't read any history of the US.
It's so much steeped in blood and so wildly capitalist
that it's more astonishing that it was able to not collapse
and keep a good image during the 20th century.
It's saving grace is having the largest deposits of coal by far,
but with solar power on the rise that's not cutting it anymore.
Liberals laid the groundwork for years to prepare for Fascism with the police state and illegal wars. All Trump had to do was pull the lever.
The country has been fucked up for many years, this is just the qualitative leap.
But wait, there's more!
Imperial decline. Its quite something to witness.
