This was with the pile of the usual VGA-only or DVI monitors, it really stood out. I knew it was something special just from the thickness of the thing, little did I know it was a MultiSync. This has a DP input, does 1920x1200, has a light sensor, an up-down and tilting swivel mount as well as portrait mode. It's also supposed to have a good 10-bit color space. All I know is it was 19.95$. This used to be pro-grade stuff maybe 10 years ago. It's hard to tell from my awful pic but the backlighting is much more uniform than cheaper monitors, there's none of those dimmer areas in the corners.

It must weigh close to 30 lbs, it was a bit of a slog on the bus.

Sure, maybe 1920x1200 gets me a wedgie these days, but my main monitor is a 4K 27", so as a second monitor for 20$ I'll take it!

16:10 is the ultimate monitor resolution.

akshually that's an aspect ratio. I think it's for having 1920x1080 with a tiny 120 pixel high space for controls and shit for video editing.

Whoops, I originally wrote the resolution part first but wanted the focus to be on 16:10

Would you believe my degree is in video production? Lol

eh don't worry about it, I just love pouncing on people's typos and mistakes on the internet. It's Friday night after all, that's what people do on Friday nights, right?
