You can pick up any plastic headset that fits your phone for $25-40/£20-30. FWIW I heard Destek are good and bought one. They go through versions so it seems they're in V5 now (Amazon link). Gotta try and keep the lenses of whichever headset you choose oil, dust and hair free when you close it so a microfibre cloth is highly recommended, or a sock.
Way, WAY back you used to be able to have a ratchet VR setup. Using TrinusVR, paired with the mobile app and desktop app, I was able to play Minecraft Java (and any other standard game) in VR, as well as Subnautica in VR mode. No need to drop £800 on a true VR rig.
Good news: TrinusVR still exists!
