Maybe it's just me, but no matter what the ban was for (I'm very aware Reddit is going ban-crazy and has just been shit in general,) I feel it's a bad omen that one community (connected communities, fediverse, what have you) is being largely inhabited by people banned from other communities.
reddit bans people for saying things like "isreal shouldn't be genociding the gazans"
That's what got me banned.
I was banned for saying we should pay to feed our kids breakfast and lunches at school instead of paying to blow up someone else's kids
the isrealis have doubled down on their efforts to control social media like the US empire controls legacy media and we're now seeing the fruits of that labor.
It isn't Israel, it's almost all global wealthy. Israel is just their tool
The ruling class is using Israel who are using the IDF who are using isrealis who are being used by Americans for profits... It's like inception except we can all see it happening
I don't disagree, but it depends on the reason. Getting banned for calling out Zionism, or for being a leftist in general? Great! Come to Lemmy!
When the width and breath of censorship is so wide that virtually everyone gets caught in the dragnet?
