Today I finally learned this quote really is from Skyrim, I keep conflating it with Sophie Scholl, who was executed by Nazis in WWII.
"It is such a splendid sunny day, and I have to go." is her iconic line.

While "my ancestors smile on me, imperialists can you say the same?" Sounds to me like a leftist's lasts words in WWII - the White Rose was actually far more effective. Their pamphlets were never so ideological, but were quite plain in fact and did well to appeal to liberals.
Thanks OP. Cute meme.
And after the Nazis were gone, her sister Inge Scholl, called Aicher-Scholl after marrying Otl Aicher, founded the HfG, the Hochschule für Gestaltung in Ulm.
The americans promised her that if she would scrape together one million dollars of funding, they would give her another million, and she managed to do it.
So then the HfG, designed by architect Max Bill, was built, and under the lead of Walter Gropius, the Bauhaus was reborn.
The Scholls were quite a family
Wow!
Interesting you hear the Skyrim quote that way, because I would interpret the character who says the quote to be more like a conservative nationalist.
Haha, I haven't played skyrim so my brain made a weird connection
Haha, fair. But, even just based on the quote, I don't think leftists are very known for caring what their ancestors think.
I'm German, my ancestors were literal fucking Nazis. If they aren't mad at me I deserve to be beheaded.
I know this is a month late but as a white guy from the American south I felt this hard, I hope my ancestors are mad at me they had ass backwards views
And before that scene in skyrim, the same person who says the line is having his last rites read to him, he interrupts the priest saying "I haven't got all morning".
Leftists aren't actually too big on respecting ancestors, but I can imagine it as something a monarchist would say before being executed by communists during the civil war.
