As far as I can tell, there isn't any evidence for this in humans. Enjoy your cinnamon.

So I had to look that up and ask a friend versed in nutrition. Apparently no adverse findings wrt Ceylon cinnamon yet.
That's why your body rejects eating a spoon full of cinnamon as seen in that stupid challenge a few years ago.
