I think I've read somewhere that if you want to remove the maggots from that cheese, you're to put it onto a paper bag and then shake them off. And shake it off until no maggots fall off.
So I guess the idea is to starve them of air, then have them fall off.
I'd actually welcome the opportunity to try it, especially the way the natives over there enjoy it.
