Oh my goodness, we can't trust parents to be interested in the books their kids are reading. They might learn something their parents don't want them to know! If we hide all the books that talk about sex, teens will stop having sex. If we hide the books that discuss gender identity, kids will start conforming to traditional and religious ideals! If we hide the books that make us uncomfortable, kids will never have any conflict at all.
That's how stupid you sound.
Except these kids arent teens. Theyre in elementary school.
Do you have a source to support that claim? Because that sounds like bullshit.
Something tells me you haven't been to an elementary school library in a while, and probably for good reason.
You referring to the fact that conservatives, especially religious ones, are statistically much more likely to not be allowed anywhere near schools?
