First of all, thank you so much for doing Boost for Lemmy. Boost was what made reddit nice, while their app and web ui went down the drain. I am super happy to now be able to use Boost to access lemmy! The app already seems to be quite solid (haven't seen a bug, yet). The only minor issue I have is that Boost for Reddit and Boost for Lemmy have the same set of icons and are quite difficult to distinguish: Though, that can be easily worked around by changing the icon for one of them via settings. Maybe the default icons + a small super imposed logo/mascot of the respective platform would be a nice idea (there might be copyright issues).

Does boost for Reddit still work? I quit Reddit and deleted my account and moved to lemmy. I assumed boost for Reddit no longer functioned.

I think it only works if you are a community moderator.

Can confirm it works for mods... at least for now

I'm surprised how long that's still been a working option. I made a subreddit with zero activity just to be a mod and keep using Boost.

I guess it's to placate mods in the short term whist they build out their own app. The average redditor is 🤷‍♀️ and moved across to the official app, so 3rd party app usage will be way down. Also means app Devs won't bother to keep developing if it's only a handful of people still using their app so the apps get killed off either way.
