Welcome to today’s daily kōrero!

Anyone can make the thread, first in first served. If you are here on a day and there’s no daily thread, feel free to create it!

Anyway, it’s just a chance to talk about your day, what you have planned, what you have done, etc.

So, how’s it going?

Was in Wellington CBD this morning. There were a bunch of locals waiting in the rain for the green man to cross this single lane road where you could clearly see no cars were coming.

That's it, that's my whole story. I just don't think I've ever seen that before.

Glad that they did. People not following simple rules is the first step towards social breakdown and anarchy.

I'm pretty sure there's a rule that says Wellington people have to cross any time they can do so without getting hit by a car. If everyone only followed the green man, then I'd worry about social breakdown.

No one wants to be part way across the road when it does turn green.

That's genuinely bizarre, usually Wellington pedestrians are in a borderline suicidal hurry to cross the road.
