Yup. The irony of paying to pick apples is not lost on me. But to your point, if someone's not looking for work, they don't get government assistance (barring a disability) and probably don't need to work the jobs thes migrants are going to fill.
There are many parents complaining their kids can’t find jobs. The jobs are there. They just don’t want to do the work.
We have evolved into an entitled society who won’t work hard anymore.
It’s why we have a shortage. Everyone thinks they’re entitled to a high paying job with no experience.
