3 days is pretty close to 600 days and counting right? On a geological timescale at least.
Everything about the invasion relied on Ukraine not putting up enough of a fight to warrant support from the west.
Which was a fair assumption, if they simply ignored the massive amount of work Ukraine put into getting their military into shape since 2014
