For anyone that may not be familiar with hockey or the NHL's recent decision here's a brief article via Yahoo Sports

Now as for the HDA, the Hockey Diversity Alliance, is a group of current and former NHL players committed to fighting bigotry in ice hockey, they were founded in June of 2020 by Akim Aliu, Evander Kane, Trevor Daley, Anthony Duclair, Matt Dumba, Nazem Kadri, Wayne Simmonds, Chris Stewart, and Joel Ward.

all because it makes a bunch of religious players look bad, yeah. it's pathetic stuff from a league which ostensibly cares about diversity and has otherwise prided itself on being pro-queer.
