Uh, does the Democratic party have any incentive to form a coalition with them? Just continue abstaining and let the Republicans continue to implode from a situation of their own making.
Probably not. But there is a country to run. In the best timeline, Republicans would separate themselves from these extremists and try to compromise/work with democrats.
This is seemingly not the best timeline, so I’d guess best timeline speculation won’t happen and after the budget cr expires in November, we’ll have another shit show discussing the budget.
