Split DE shavettes have no soul

After the Weck [and you talked me into that], the only shavette I've even considered is the Tedalus Essence, but that's mostly due to how cool it looks.

the Tedalus Essence, [...] due to how cool it looks.

That it does! But injector blades and shavettes aren't a good match IMO. They have sharp corners, no bueno

I think I saw someone complaining that the B-20 has rounded corners and barely hits the posts on their injector so it might be perfect for a shavette.

The Essence accepts Artist Club blades. That's all I would use in it. But, I'm concerned it might be a case of form over function with that razor.

AC could be better than injector blades 🤔

I've tried the Feather DX a while back, and it was ok. Compared to straights or Wecks, though, the minimum useable angle was less shallow, and less shallow than I liked.

though, the minimum useable angle was less shallow,

A deal breaker for me. Having developed the technique of getting BBS-close with low angles is why (IMO) I rarely nick myself and never have irritation. [Of course many years of strong alcohol aftershaves may have tanned my skin.]

Yeah, we agree. That's why I'm sceptical about the Tedalus. With the narrow AC and injector blades, this limitation shallow and seems hard to overcome.

Yes, maybe the clamp is thinner than on the Feather, bit images like this one

Make me think that it's the same design at a higher price
