The character. His people were eradicated. Then they were scouring the galaxy to finish the survivors and poisoned Kevin. He survived and Kirk stopped him from getting his vengeance on space Hitler.

No wonder they replaced him with Chekov. That was way to much baggage for a regular in that era.

But he’d be fine on SNW. A recast Kevin Riley could be mentored by La’an.
