I'm a big fan of Peach & Cognac. Great scent. Both The Undersea and SoCal Hipster give me a mild feeling of burn. For me, it's not bad and doesn't persist. No issues with Kaizen or St. Barts (both of which absconded after my wife used them). What do you think causes the burning?
Unsafe levels of fragrance oils would be my bet, since that's the only thing that changes between the different scents.
L'Orange Verte and this are great: Not a tingle. St. Barts burns me, but others use it without issues. Turkish Coffee was like a that scene in Fight Club with the chemical burn, so I passed it around (with fair warning and informed consent of the victims) to u/Semaj3000 and u/Scorpio93x and it burned them too.
I don't buy A&E anymore since then. I don't want to support this business practice
I thought, maybe, it was a particular fragrance note. Shawn Maher has managed to get high scent strength in the Seaforth! series. Higher than most of the A&E soaps I have. But I've never seen a complaint about Seaforth!. I guess there's an art to knowing what scent notes can and can't be pushed.
