"Careless handling of weapons" should be disciplined in every case, not just when someone gets hurt. But yeah let's send people not properly trained to a border where the training might actually be important. This sickening.

I am convinced this soldier will never be punished for what he did. And I am convinced it’s a totally made up story and it actually was attempted murder. I am convinced that the prosecutors just don’t want to know.

You don't. Stay critical. Sometimes they get stuff right, often they don't. There's nothing to do about that than to demand consequences and independent control instances. Vote for parties who want that too or get political yourself by joining a party and talking to people about your ideas. That's how democracy works. It's slow and most of the time it sucks. But it's the best we currently have. Let's hope it gets optimized.
