White-breasted Waterhen, catching a meal

Feel free to share your photos and other birding-related content here. If a photo you post isn't yours, please credit the original creator! Additionally, it would be appreciated if the location of the sighting and a date were given when a photo or question is posted. You do not have to give the precise location, something like "Northern Idaho, June 2023" or even "North-Western US, June 2023" suffices.
Where in the world does that come from? And that's a nicely timed photo!
Thanks! Couldn't really tell but I'm assuming some kind of leech or worm
Ah, I meant which country was it taken in - I'm from the UK, and I don't recognise the bird: most like one of our moorhens I supoose.
Ah I misunderstood. This photo was taken in Singapore, most of the pictures I have are from Asia and Australia.
White-breasted waterhens are found in South and Southeast Asia. They're part of the rail family, like moorhens as you mentioned. I agree this is a really interesting/exotic looking bird. Its long legs and overall proportions aren't like any birds I've seen in Canada

This made me chuckle :)
