Hi people,
I'm using a non NAS disk (Seagate Exos X18) on TrueNAS and a few days ago I found it degraded.
Now I'm planning to reconfigure the whole NAS in order to stay safe in the future even If don't really know why it happened. My solutions are 2:

  1. buy another Seagate Exos X18 16TB to configure a RAID
  2. buy 2 NAS HDD, like Ironwolf PRO but having less space and spending more

Then I'have another option, buy one SSD sata for NAS, do I need a RAID to stay safe even if they are SSD?

What you think is the best option?
Thanks :)

Exos X18 series are CMR drives for the enterprise server segment. They come with a 5 year warranty. They are perfectly fine in a NAS.
