I’m trying to see if other than the following game server managers are there any others either commercial or open source that use docker, swarm or kubernetes to run game servers.

I have worked with in the past with many game servers like:

Pterodactyl - community is slightly toxic, go there looking for help and they are not too friendly, however the bot tool they have helps with troubleshooting. Pterodactyl has t been updated or optimized in years.

Jexactyl: replacement Panel for Pterodactyl - lots of useful features but community not too knowledgeable when it comes to solving problems caused by their integrations. At least they are not toxic like the main Pterodactyl Discord.

AMP: Paid game server manager by cube coders. This solution wasn’t that terrible performancewise, however their community mods run a mock without a leash and make the atmosphere toxic. The scripting format they use to configure install the “game servers” is a nightmare to work with and the templating system sucks. If you need to create a template it’s absolutely impossible to get help to troubleshoot. The mods steal your templates and do t give you proper credit.

WindowsGSM: simple but effectively easy to use. Runs in Windows, not too memory efficient but again does the job. Main dev has been building next generation panel for years but it seems to be vaporware. Community is ok, pretty friendly and making templates is done via c#. I think the inspiration for this GSM came from LGSM. (Doesn’t uses docker, but it’s worth mentioning regardless)

All of the above server platforms are pretty decent, but you can’t really use them as turnkey solution for a business plush as a hobby.

I wish there was a version of Portainer that was optimized and conceived with Game Server management in mind because with their robustness and service I’d put my money right there but it needs a lot of work to entertain that idea.

Are there any others I may have missed and should try?

I wish I never found this post lol... I just spent a couple of days installing and configuring pterodactyl, pfsense, npm and ssl to all work nicely together... now I want to setup jex as it looks prettier lol
