I completely understand why Valve decided that the touchpad haptics were good enough, the deck is heavy as it is already. I'd still love to have the option of adding some proper rumble on the deck for the games that deserve it.

Some more Steam Deck specific flairs:
[Boot Screen] - Custom boot screens/videos.
[Selling] - If you are selling your deck.
These are not enforced, but they are encouraged.
Rules:
- Follow the rules of Sopuli
- Posts must be related to the Steam Deck in an obvious way.
- No piracy, there are other communities for that.
- Discussion of emulators are allowed, but no discussion on how to illegally acquire ROMs.

Yeah I feel the same way. The haptics are very weak on the deck, like far weaker than even the Steam controller.
Steam Controller uses the same haptic motors as the Switch Pro controllers do. The Steam Deck uses these teeny tiny things stuck on the underside of the trackpads that are designed only for providing feedback for mouse use. So to be honest, they do work way better than one would think.
Yeah the direct touchpad feedback is great. It's the rumble emulation when you're not directly touching the touchpads that's lacking.
You could try turning up the haptics in the controller settings?
It's already at 100. Still very weak for anything besides the touchpad feedback.
