It’s gonna be some form of horror game. I’ve heard speculation that Kojima regained the rights to P.T. (The door you see in her eyes at the end of the trailer looks like the same door as in P.T.) so it may be somehow related to that
Doubtful that Kojima can regain the rights to PT. Konami will withhold that from him forever.
A door is a door, and is not copyrightable or trademarkable because it is too generic. Only a door with very distinctive features, such as the FallOut Vault door, could be claimed. Since the door here is literally just a house interior door, I can't imagine there would be any legal reason Kojima couldn't re-use the design or idea.
If he did regain the rights, it would have been revealed as a "PT" or Silent Hill game.
This is very true. Maybe he wants to recreate some of his ideas with PT without infringing on copyright or trademark. I know he’s made cryptic references to PT before, this might be his way of bringing to life his vision while avoiding legal trouble
