First and foremost, This is kind of a rant. I do not like horror games. I have never played any 'strictly horror' ones before. And yes I get scared easily.

My friends bought a new game called Lethal company and I didn't know what it was until they showed me some clips of it. For the first time ever, I thought a survival horror game would be fun. So I went ahead and purchased it on steam.

While playing the game I did get jumpscared without fail almost all of the time (God I hate that feeling). I also liked the proximity chat audio and the way it fades as the people move further away from each other.

After playing for 1.5 hours I found it to be very repetitive and boring but my friends seemed to be enjoying it. Now that I notice, the game has overwhelmingly positive ratings on Steam and many youtubers and streamers have reviewed the game very positively. Which led me to think, if I'm playing it the wrong way or something.

So is this one of those games which grows on you as you play ? Or will it be the same gameplay loop ?

I don't think it'll grow on you as you play it more. It's one of those games where you can kind of immediately tell whether you'll like it or not.

I also think it's pretty repetitive (not even different interiors for each moon) but I've been finding a lot of fun with the goofiness of it all. Playing with friends, laughing at each other's demises, and screwing around with the funny gadgets you can buy is where all the fun is for me.

There actually is a second interior type

Yeah I meant more like, each moon doesn't have its own unique interior. So you see a lot of the same corridors (especially if you're bad like me and can't afford to visit the later moons).
