Whup. My bad. Didn’t even read the article. I was thinking of the RAV4 plug in hybrid and made a bunch of assumptions.
No worries, I made a similar assumption from the title
Everyone is ready to make that assumption. It's sinking in with the public that EVs are fire traps. Meanwhile, gas cars are somewhere between 20 to 100 times more likely to catch fire.
Because of the whole actually exploding gas inside it to make the thing go
And because when a gas car catches fire, it isn't even newsworthy
It's also a lot easier to put out
This is the real issue. Gas cars burn quick and it's done. EVs can burn for days.
