IMO Odysee had the best chance of competing somewhat with YouTube, just based on how popular it became. Quite a number of creators mirrored their content onto Odysee, with a few complaining about needing to moderate an additional platform (I think video comments were the problem IIRC)

I'd be curious to know how many still mirrored content there, vs switching to a subscription platform like Floatplane/Nebula, or alternatives like PeerTube.

Yeah comments on odysee were spicy. For me a lot of the linux and infosec channels I watched mirrored there.
