Many Linux distributions use the word "Linux" in their name, but the Free Software Foundation uses the name GNU/Linux to emphasize the importance of GNU software, causing some controversy.

I don't believe so, I think OP just misremembered 1970.
The
1704067200is the 2024 new year, in seconds from 1970 (normal Unix time).GNU-Epoch is not the UNIX-Epoch.

Because UNIX Epoch starts 1970, not 1975 is why I mentioned it.
You forgot to take into account leap years or as I've come to call them the leaping gnu/years
