Don't people have any hobbies, passions, or anything better to talk about? Politics and news are such boring conversations, full of intentional outrage and strife. I sure wish that we as an online community could break away from the divisive machinations of the disreputable media.

Some people like politics, some people like computers, some people like makeup, some people like rock climbing. Why do you care what someone likes?

It's not that I care what people like, it's surprise that politics is so massively over-represented compared to other interests in the all feed. I was hoping to stumble across some new interesting communities, but it's almost all bad news and politics, but I repeat myself.

Block the news and politics communities as you encounter them. Should improve the feed for you significantly. It's happy to work with you, but you have to tell it what you want.
