I've tried the Rexona pure rollon deodorant I got on special for a few bucks. It's... okay but I'm not a fan.
It goes on annoyingly wet and takes a while to dry. It smells like cucumbers, very slightly minty and like womens face cream (so not completely unisex), then it changes to generic chemical 'clean' scent. Kind of what gets named 'shower fresh'. Inoffensive, not bad but to me it's quite strongly scented for a while so not entirely comfortable using it.
Performance wise it's okay. It's absolutely not a 72hr deodorant like it claims, and I wouldn't even say 48hr. (I don't think those claims are ever true.) It's not amazing and that's possibly because it's an anti-white mark formula. Those are always less effective. Would I buy it again? Probably not. The sliminess and the strong perfume make me wonder if I'll finish it. (Sensory issues.)
I'm betting the antibacterial mens one will work better. Haven't tried that one yet. However while it smells good it's also quite strongly scented and will probably have that same runny slow to dry liquid that makes it so annoying to get dressed immediately and could stain the pits of your shirts.
Dove roll on is quite good in my experience. Not scented. I have issues with anxiety sweats but haven’t found anything that really helps except driclor but that makes me very itchy.
I’ll have to look into that. Some scents get to me and I have sensitive skin.
I might check it out, thanks
I use the rexona one that's like rubbing soap on. I like it because it dries super fast. Tbh I don't stink anyway so it works for me but I don't know how it would hold up if you were a little more pongy in that area.
I tend to find those deodorant sticks aren't great for me, they leave a stubborn residue of aluminium on my skin and in my clothing that is difficult to remove (and traps bacteria/stimk). Same for the squeeze up cream formulas. (Weirdly I find 'clinical' formulas kind of suck?)
Pong is definitely more of an issue than wetness so maybe not the right fit for me (I do shower regularly)
Does it cause any dryness of the skin if it’s got a soapy texture and dries super fast?
Much of a scent with that Rexona one?
A slight scent on application but after that I can't smell anything. No drying out otherwise I'd be very itchy.
I use the dove cucumber rollon, but eyeing off the similar zeroco refillable. The only thing that's held it back this long is because they don't have a physical store I can sniff things at, but hubs has said he'll happily take it if I no likey. Want me to report back when I finally get?
Sure thing, it'd be good to hear how that is. It's really hard to find something that works without a lot of perfume
S2G, the human race is going nose blind. It's psychotic the amount of scent they put into everything.
Definitely unreasonable amounts. I thought I was just sensitive but am occasionally finding some with tolerable levels so they're just dumping it excessively into everything.
Apparently there's scented toilet paper which... why.
