Costco changes product lines all the time. It’s all based on the best deals their buyers can secure and sales performance. It can also be pretty local. Costcos near the coast have more watersport options. They use local suppliers for some food items.
We also have a “business center” Costco near us that has a bunch of stuff that normal Costco doesn’t, lots of commercial kitchen stuff, lots of stuff you’d find at mini marts more office supplies. Still sold in bulk but often packaged more for breaking up and selling individually. This place often has different selection than the other stores like more soda flavors including some that used to be at regular stores but aren’t anymore. So maybe if you can find one of these you’ll find what you’re looking for.
Brilliant!
I just found that while costco.ca removed this SKU, costco business centre added a new SKU, which is exact what I need https://www.costcobusinesscentre.ca/cascade-platinum-dishwasher-detergent%2c-93-tabs.product.2001142484.html
I guess that costco is trying to promote the more profitable, more expensive new product from Cascade.
Personally, I don't think it worth my extra trip to biz centre for the detergent. Next time if I really need something which disappeared from warehouse, I'll visit a business centre and check if they just moved it.
Thank you once again
Many products, particularly cleaners, get regulated into the commercial only sector. I have to (illegally) ship trisodium phosphate (TSP) to where I live because government decided to blanket ban phosphates.
It's not always greed :)
