@Holyginz I don't think you realize what you're asking. If the UN tries to override the US that means using force to stop Israel - which means having a war against the US and Israel.
The US has a law authorizing it to invade Europe if the ICC ever tries to prosecute an American war criminal.
The Security Council is about wars/security. This is why all the permanent members/major powers have veto. It's a forum for dialogue.
I wonder why the US and Israel are not members of the ICC. /s
Funnily enough family members of the hostages held in Gaza flew to the Hague to press ICC to investigate Hamas, source: https://www.reuters.com/world/middle-east/israeli-victims-oct-7-press-icc-investigate-hamas-2024-02-14/. Which in my books is quite hypocritical, considering that Israel itself doesn't honour the ICC rulings.
And the whole fact that the US withdrew their signature speaks a ton of their sense of impunity and being above international law.
Laws for thee but not for me.
