Not sure if from Reddit, but I would love to see external links open in a new tab by default.
This 10000%. It's the only thing that bothers me about Lemmy so far.
At least on PC, middle mouse click for the win
(But absolute pain when I'm on my laptop)
Control+click on your laptop also works.
Middle mouse button should do that.
I can make a userscript for that in the mean time, if you like
To my knowledge, this is more of a browser thing than a site thing. You should be able to set your browser to open links in a new tab everywhere by default.
