Ah damn it. You've just reminded me I need to do talking tomorrow :/

I've decided to just ad lib it. As long as I've got the names of the people I need to introduce I should be right

Oh, you’re chairing/ doing intro bits? Hand cards (can’t electrically fail) Name, is really cool to have here because [
..] [Reason you hopefully agree with]. Paper. Then, thanks, state was interesting, open questions, ask a question if you want to start. If it gets too quiet, thank again and direct to the buffet if extant.

As long as I've got their names and where they're from I'll be fine. Besides introducing them and where they're all from, all I have to do is introduce myself and do a shortened version of the acknowledgement of country. I have the option to do whatever else I want provided it's within the time, but as long as those are all done I'm golden

Rather counter-intuitively I struggle more with speaking when I'm reading a script than when I'm ad libbing it. I struggle with memorising things and reading ahead so if I have a script my eyes will be glued to the paper, where as if I just talk for myself based off a loose collection of ideas I just sorta know what to say

Addenda: create yourself a persona for presenting. Don’t need a costume, just an attitude. You can do this!

I did actually buy fancy clothes to wear, so I will be costuming. But I certainly have an attitude so I guess I have both

Brilliant! Baku’s presenting pants should host the next tread đŸ˜ș
