Our animator did an amazing job with conveying the concepts behind Monero. Ring Signatures, Stealth addresses, and how it hides the amounts. Tune in: https://privacyfreedom.net/w/x2rLzs3AeCxTXtCQ2u5rb7

The website is too slow to play the video, at least from Singapore. You might want to consider peer tube, or even YouTube to post.

The site is a PeerTube instance.

You can see that because it says "PeerTube" in the top left corner

Thanks for pointing that out! It took 15 minutes but I did finally download the video and watch it.

Is good explanation. I got irrationally annoyed when you use Cindy as the example of the receiver of the cryptographic exchange. Applied cryptography always uses Bob and Alice. So there was just mental conflict when you said Cindy instead of Alice.

Good video!

You're right on the speed. We got a fast CDN now: https://video.simplifiedprivacy.com/

Also Cindy fixed in new version, thank you

I think a video featuring Xerxes, Yasmin and Zachary would be fun.

[-] ShadowRebel@monero.town 1 points 1 year ago

Ah shit, what region are you from? It's on Flux CDN with 40 instances

If you want to reach a wide audience, YouTube is definitely still good for that.

I gotta say, I watched both videos, and, I don't like the alt-right undertones. I stopped watching as soon as they criticized support for Ukraine in the other vid.

[-] tusker@monero.town 3 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

There is nothing "alt-right" about criticizing a corrupt regime (US) funding a proxy war with another corrupt regime (Russia).

War is criminal, and is only possible with fake or stolen money. Hence Monero.

[-] ShadowRebel@monero.town 2 points 1 year ago

Even US government officials are saying the Ukraine leaders are corrupt and stole money. Are you suggesting that even our own US intelligence is lying?

[-] g2devi@feddit.nl 1 points 1 year ago

Did we watch the same video? The black hood is more a symbol of Antifa than anything on the right and I didn't hear any mention of Ukraine but even if I missed it, criticising support for Ukraine has nothing to do with right or left. Both RFK and Trump are on the same side on this as are many anti-war leftists and libertarians. Also, many republicans and democrats support escalating in Ukraine. It's not a left or right issue.

[-] ShadowRebel@monero.town 2 points 1 year ago

I'm a libertarian. With all cryptocurrency the goal is to empower individuals over government. It is not logical to want a more powerful government and tools that can defy them such as Monero

[-] alvvayson@lemmy.world 0 points 1 year ago

I was referring to their other Monero video, so if you didn't click through, then no, you didn't watch the same video as I did

RFK is alt-right, not tankie-left, but they are basically the same due to horseshoe theory. Extremist undertones in Monero education only hurt the cause instead of helping it.

That's one thing the bitcoin community eventually managed to get right. Adopting more normalcy in communication.

We still got some ways to go.
