in brief, this community is the awful.systems answer to Hacker News. read this article for a solid summary of why having a less toxic collaborative community is important from a technical standpoint in addition to a social one.

If NixOS shits itself and dies, don't say they weren't warned.
our instance runs on NixOS, so I’m not relishing the prospect of rewriting all our deployment and configuration stuff and fleeing the distro because it got taken over by fascists. I’m hoping for a fork if none of the demands in the open letter are met.
