I never understood that indentation. The top most comment is the furthest to the right? People who reply have their names far away from their message above all messages?
It’s reminiscent of really old email threads.
It's the ooooold Tumblr layout. This layout doesn't exist anymore
If the quote markdown was actually used properly, this is how Lemmy or Reddit would look.
It works like greentext plus recursion.
