Put on the train trip from Souther Cross to Tocumwal on for the kids:

The last leg from Shepperton to Tocumwal is usually freight only. I'd love to hop on at Donnybrook and take the train to Tocumwal.

Same with Mildura. That line is freight only as well. How many tourism dollars would a vline to Mildura rake in? I don't know why it's still closed to the public.

Agreed. Trains are such fun. 😊

Did that trip many years ago when it was still running. I did enjoy it.

Wow thanks for sharing this, I didn't know one had been uploaded to Tocumwal!

If you're rich, there's a couple of heritage trains running up to Mildura this year. The one in June has already been booked out, but I believe there's another in either August or October. But the tickets are really pricey.

My personal line I wish I could ride is the one from Horsham to Carpolac. I've done it by car, and it just looks like it would've been such a peaceful ride, even if the largest towns along it only had a couple hundred people

I'm going to check it out anyway. The boys would love it and Mildura is one of the few places it would be worth getting the train to rather than just driving

I've checked these out and they are quite expensive. They also seem more geared towards the older crowd than young families, but I might be able to make one work at some point down the line
