Look, feel free to ignore this, but have you had your glasses prescription (if any) updated recently? I've had headaches that were made worse by tension/stress but magically vanished when I got new glasses.
Toast and preserves please, with vintage red wine.
So hard to say goodbye. ๐
Also keeps Bill out of it I suspect.
Bit of dirt builds a healthy immune system.
Just had some good news - my younger boy Nick (who works at NASA at Cape Canaveral) is safe. He and his wife and my granddaughter did the smart thing and evacuated. Currently in LA. I have been so worried. But all are safe and well.
So far today:
- Moved 1.73 shittonnes of crap out of the garage for the hard rubbish.
- Cleaned house.
- Repotted the mini peach tree, the ginger lily and the bonsai fig treelet.
- Two loads of laundry.
Still to do:
- shopping
- batch cooking lunches for next week.
I'm exhausted already. May resort to bort lunches.
It's my birthday, and I'm going to the dentist. Boo. On the plus side, I'm taking today off so will go op shopping afterwards.
EDIT: Thank you all so much! I have my eye on a few things at the local Sacred Heart ...
Just got home after 2nd six-monthly checkup post cancer. I am happy to say that I am still cancer-free. Peter Mac Hospital in its infinite wisdom has removed all the free books for reading while waiting to see the doctor. This is a major step back. I found a couple of beauties last year while I was in treatment. Things I would never in a million years have actually spent money on, but were splendid reads. On the plus side, the new station at Parkville is just outside the door and is looking splendid and hopefully will be available for use soon. The new tram stop in Royal Parade is excellent and nearly big enough. Also the coffee in the Wellness Centre is still good but the selection of bikkies has reduced somewhat.
Back from the hospital after the PET scan to see if the cancer has been completely expunged. Results to be discussed with doctor on Wednesday. Am still high as a kite on the anti-anxiety meds they gave me when putting in the cannula. Early night tonight, so as to limit the amount of time I spend chewing my fingernails down to the elbow.
