no you see they told us very clearly in the first episode that aang is very fun and happy and goofy so they dont need to show that stuff
And must not have friends! Repeat after me, the Avatar must not have friends!
I dunno what Katara and Sokka are doing on the live action, but I guess it's ok, because they are never around anyway.
