How often do you shave? How long does it take you? How do you do it?
Just curious as it feels like a chore for me. I usually do a with the grain shave with a safety razor and no product since I don’t have a lot of time and that gives the least irritation, but it’s not a close shave. I see guys that get stupid close shaves and I often wonder how much time they spend on it.
I can't grow a full beard. Literally and physically can't. My beard are thin, pointy, hard, can't grow pass 1/4 inch, it's embarrassing.
So in my late teen, I thought: "If I can't grow a beard like a man, then I'll shave like a man".
So I decided to learn to use straight razor. And oh boy, I have no idea how fun it could be. And the beginning of a new hobby/obsession. Watching YT tutorial, asking a real barber for advices, finding the best razors, shaving cream, etc .....
Took me 2 weeks to practice just shaving 1 straight line on both cheeks, 1 more week to add another line under the chin. It took 3 months before I can confidently shave my entire face. I got a few minor cuts, but the thing is the razor is super sharp so the cut is tiny and super clean and could be healed within the day. It gives the cleanest shave I've ever had, no electric shaver can even comes close. My face feel like a baby's ass.
Now I look forward to every morning to shave. I have a spare razor on my desk to hold and familiarize my hand with it while watching something on the PC. Even do some light dry shave, because the feeling is so addictive.
Ok it's a fun story for me.
