Is that Elvis?
Yes.
This is his wife, Priscilla. They met when she was 14 and her was 24. He had to get the parents permission to date her with a chaperone.
I appreciate different times and so on, but yuck.
Edit: Spelling of ~~Prescilla~~ Priscilla
The great balls of fire guy, dated then married his 13 year old cousin...
Edit: Jerry Lee Lewis
"His rock and roll career faltered in the wake of his marriage to Myra Gale Brown, his 13-year-old first cousin once removed."
Also, she was his third wife (he had 6)
Wasn't she a 2nd cousin (daughter of his cousin)?
The 13 is the bigger part there
Depending where you live everyone might be your cousin
Basically yes, but it's considered, first cousin once removed.
(I looked it up and added an edit)
Not defending this shit, but can we take small solace in that a chaperone was around until she was of sound mind via maturity to make bagel's consent decisions?
(This doesn't account for societal or social pressure, which must have been massive)
If all your going by is the information here, that sounds nice, which is probably why they did it. How they 'met' Is Elvis had his people looking for young women for him to be with, they picked her out from a public place and got to work grooming her and her parents to let Elvis take her. The more you look into it, the more you hear her taking about what happened to her, you get a real picture of her being kidnapped. He was VERY controlling, she was often under lock and key. If he wasn't Elvis he'd just be a kidnapper and child rapist.
Yep, very shit.
It's Priscilla, but well played nevertheless.
