Today’s Ask PHlemmy: You’ve been offered a job in a desolate location miles from civilization that pays 10x more than what you currently make. Would you move and take the job?
A job at an (off-shore) oil rig came to mind. If that's the case, I don't think I'd readily accept. Being in a desolate location miles away from civilization isn't the deal breaker, being isolated with people I might not be okay with is the huge deal breaker.
Otherwise, other than likely losing the benefits of being able to have food and stuff delivered to my room, I'm in! Maybe I can pay extra to have a package delivered once a month, lol!
