Yeah when my wife got home I was pretty enthusiastic about handing him over. We had a great day, but it was a LOOONG day!
I've got a 10yo home sick too. The good part is that he's pretty easily entertained but because he's sick he wants Mum's attention every 15 minutes and Mum is trying to study and get this bloody assessment done.
Fuck I would kill for a 10 year old cause you can just stick โem in front of a movie and buy yourself like 20 minutes to scratch yourself. Toddler canโt communicate his needs so I canโt tell if the sudden fussiness is feeling worse or actually just bored.
Every age has its advantages and disadvantages! At least you have the potential for a daytime nap. Mine has stolen the TV to play roblox...
I know that. A day off doesn't feel like a rest because you spend all day doing parental labour instead
