I haven't been on a plane in about 10 years. That moment in this space is a great example of a liminal space. Your post brought me right to that feeling of being on the plane but not being on the plane.
Its quite rare to be allowed to touch the outside of a jumbo jet. Probably because they know I would put my fruit stickers on it.
You can touch it, you just have to pay for it.
Superluminal 😹
Hey, you two! Board the plane!
Unless you are a flight attendant
In that case I imagine you start absolutely hating that place after a while. Considering the boarding and deboarding process is probably the most stressful part of that job outside of emergencies, not to mention they only start getting paid when the door closes (which is total bullshit that they can get away with that, apparently the airlines think they're not actually doing their jobs when they're busy wrangling 200+ passengers through the gate?)
What? You never hang out near the doors because the toilets are next to it?
only for a moment
Yet you had your phone out and ready to start taking pics??
LiminalSpace
Liminal spaces are the subject of an Internet aesthetic portraying empty or abandoned places that appear eerie, forlorn, and often surreal. Liminal spaces are commonly places of transition (pertaining to the concept of liminality) or of nostalgic appeal.
