RULES

  1. Be respectful: no harassment, hate speech, bigotry, and/or trolling.
  2. Encourage conversation in your OP. This means including heavily implicative subject matter when you can and also engaging in your thread when possible.
  3. Avoid controversial topics (e.g. politics or societal debates).
  4. Stay calm: Don’t post angry or to vent or complain. We are a place where everyone can forget about their everyday or not so everyday worries for a moment. Venting, complaining, or posting from a place of anger or resentment doesn't fit the atmosphere we try to foster at all. Feel free to post those on !goodoffmychest@lemmy.world
  5. Keep it clean and SFW
  6. No solicitation such as ads, promotional content, spam, surveys etc.

Went to a smaller town the other day and got on a bus. Bus had like 5 people maybe. Every time someone went off the bus, the driver shouted to the back "have a nice day". Made me smile.

Wife started a new job on Monday, so I have had to adjust my sleep schedule in order to drop her off in the morning and getting used to having the house to myself again during the days.

I was thrust into a new and undesired role at my work a couple months ago, and I'm just now getting to the point where I feel like I have a handle on things. Still not enjoying it and I am looking for other options, but there might be light at the end of the tunnel if I stick it out here...

Finished my exams, most went pretty well. Feels so good to just do what you want without feeling bad because you‘re not spending the time learning.

Fine? I'm off work for the next week on a staycation - we're looking at houses again this evening. I'm in my 40s and may finally buy something instead of renting like I have since college.

Not too bad. Took some time off and my sleep has never been better.
